Job Description: Advisory Systems Engineer UDS APJC
Dell EMC is looking for an accomplished Advisory Systems Engineer (Advisory
Presales) for EMC Isilon & Elastic Cloud Storage to play a big role in the APJ
Unstructured Data Solutions team to drive the adoption of the UDS technology
in the market.
Reporting into the APJ UDS Pre-Sales Engineering Lead- this APJ Theatre wide
role is a high impact- high visibility position focused on leading File and
Object Storage customer engagements by partnering with UDS sales and presales
teams in each Geo to define key market segments to target- lead strategic
deals across APJ- enable and mentor the local presales teams.
The ideal candidates will have a unique blend of technical- sales and busines

acumen that heavily involves in and influences sales strategy and GTM motion

across APJ- drive training and enablement curriculums for field resources- an

interacts directly with Unstructured Data Solutions` Product Management an

Engineering to influence product features and roadmaps.

Required Experience and Skills:

– A minimum of 7 years in presales roles in File & Object Storage and Scale-
out NAS solutions

– A minimum of 12 years in selling technology in IT industry- with solid
negotiation skills and business acumen

– A comprehensive understanding of Object Storage solutions such as EMC ECS-
IBM Cleversafe- Scality or AWS S3 and NAS storage architectures and ability to
articulate on the concepts to customers

– Posses networking and system infrastructure experience including and not
limited to Load-Balancers- L2/L3 switching- AD/LDAP and other Core
Infrastructure services used in large enterprises

– Engage with the UDS sales and presales teams in each Geo where you prepare
and present best practices for adoption of Dell EMC ECS technology along with
addressing technical questions and delivering PoCs that come up during the
sales cycle

– Able to deliver roadmap and vision presentations convincingly to customers
and prospects throughout the APJ Theatre- acting as the leading technical
authority in the organization

– Experience selling into and supporting vertical and solution market
segments such as Analytics- Life-Sciences- Media & Entertainment- Surveillance
and EDA

– Ability to demonstrate past successes and efforts working collaboratively
with corporate Product Management and Engineering teams to drive and influence
product roadmaps and GTM priorities relevant to your customer base and key to
your teams success

– Possess a continual passion for cultivating success through technical
thought leadership- nurturing- and establishing trusted advisor relationships
throughout the team and with customers

– Capable of self-Learning- learn independently and constantly to demonstrate
expert levels- develops contents such as product demos- presentations- labs
and case studies to be used by presales teams

– Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must

– Experience and ability to travel throughout the APJ region up to 50%- and
to the US 1-2 times per year
