Overview
The position covers product management- launch and business development of
Dell|s CSB & Large Displays as well as New Growth Categories.
An individual contributor- the position is responsible creating Go-To-Market
plans- developing strategies for launching new products & driving business
case attainment- define product specifications- crafting positioning
documents- performing tactical competitive analysis- and developing customer &
press evaluation programs. Additional responsibilities include developing
forecast assumptions packages- driving configuration planning- managing
product End of Life (EOL) transitions- and providing leadership in critical
situations. The position is also responsible for working with Dell`s region
to optimize product acceptance and success during the product lifecycle.
Must be able to communicate effectively within all areas of the company an
has active engagement with counterparts in regions including but not limite
to system product managers- Outbound Marketing- Brand Segments- Marcom-
Pricing- Supply/Demand (S&D) & Supply Chain Planning- Operations- Finance and
Worldwide Procurement
Key Responsibilities
Global management of the entire product line life cycle including EOL planning and transition.
Partner and work with various members of cross functional team to enable successful product development and launch. This includes:
Participate in all Core team meetings and orchestrate launch related activities.
Collaborate and be a trusted partner to Product Group Planning- Product Launch Managers- Messaging- Dell Blue team and internal marketing teams.
To define the Product value proposition.
To ensure timely delivery of key product messaging- communications at launch.
To deliver collaterals including brochures- specs sheets- product / packaging photography and video.
To coordinate- review- lead and ensure timely launch of the product page on Dell.com at RTS.
To support internal and external Consumer Displays events that Dell participates in.
To track on-going activities on sustaining CSB and Large Monitors programs post launch and Program Change Requests (PCR).
Business Development for new products ??? identify key markets- customer segments- a route to market- partners- campaigns- launch platforms- etc.
Developing and implementing a company-wide launch plan working with all departments for execution.
Make decisions on product enhancements throughout the product lifecycle.
Develop plans for evaluation units on a worldwide basis.
Work closely with regional product managers to develop forecast and drive business attainment.
Support regional PLM & demand supply teams as required on operational excellence KPIs & activities including- but not limited to- business contract volume attainment- aging inventory and on-time EOL.
Be an expert on the competition.
Be a subject matter expert for sales and go to market teams. Evangelize the product line.
Develop and present recommendations and analyses to the executive management for approvals.
Qualifications:
Overall 8 to 10 years of experience with 3 to 4 years in Product management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel- and meet constantly changing timelines.
Ability to influence other members of the core team (WWP- Finance- PM- PjM- PLM- etc.) to drive key business objectives.
Very strong written communication and presentation skills ??? ability to work across various segments and geographic regions to effectively communicate regional requirements and/or product positioning & strategy within the organization.
Strong Leadership- interpersonal and Influence skills.
Strategic agility ??? challenges himself/herself and the team to constantly look for new approaches and hatch creative ideas for improvement.
