PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Media relations : develop and execute an integrated and multi-faceted (earned- owned- paid- shared) regional communications plan. Develop pitches- actively manage press interviews- provide media training- build media relationships- tap into spokespeople for commentary- leverage customer testimonials. Develop and manage bench of spokespeople
Content development : develop and edit press materials- including: Asia Pacific PR plan and country-level plans- press releases- fact sheets- briefing sheets- etc.
Internal / employee communications : in partnership with VP of International- bring company goals- values and vision to life internally; make relevant for Asia Pacific
Counsel : Provide direction for country leaders in developing communication strategies and understanding current market and business issues
Collaboration : Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and regional leads- define their communication requirements- and provide them with strategic advice and counsel; Understand and translate business goals into strategic PR activities and thought leadership programs
Crisis Communications / Issues Management : Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and other potential news triggers- and be prepared to respond to journalist inquiries; Partner with Global Communications team at HQ to align on messaging and positioning; Work closely with local spokespeople
Operations : manage PR agencies; partner and develop strategic plans so both parties are successful (increase SoV- measure the right things)
Required Experience and Skills:
Bachelor|s degree- preferably in communications- PR or related discipline
8 years| experience in PR leading Asia Pacific; cybersecurity PR experience preferre
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal directio
Interest in security issues/geopolitical developments across AP
Strong written and verbal communications skills; able to turn complex messages into crisp messaging and influence at all level
Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement media plans/program
Bias for action — a self-starter who exudes confidence and is an active listener
Uncompromising ethics and integrity
Sense of humor
Travel of approximately 25% anticipated
