Purpose of Role
Organize- plan- schedule and execute equipment and system maintenance/repair
activities for the site- to work as a team to carry out Fire Protection
Systems Maintenance and Loss Prevention & Control (LPC) Systems Operation for
the client|s sites. Ensure the proper functionality of fire protection
detection system
Responsibilities
Carry out site Fire Protection System Maintenance and Loss Prevention & Control Management programs by performing scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs to all Fire Protection System and Loss Prevention & Control Management programs
Maintain site LPC equipment and systems in a way that continuously protects people and company assets
Interface with the local authority representatives and Insurance Company as required concerning fire protection/ detection systems inspection and testing.
Assist vendors to provide site equipment and systems maintenance support activities.
Troubleshoot equipment and systems- recovery- and implementation of corrective actions in a way that minimizes unscheduled downtime and breakdowns.
Ensures work and job orders are timely and accurately executed.
Support in delivery of continuous and uninterrupted Fire Protection and Loss Prevention support to the sites
Assist in site compliance to regulatory requirements- including: Client|s Global SHE- Singapore Workplace- Safety & Health Act- and Singapore Fire Safety Act.
Support Site SHE team in external SHE- Security and Fire Safety audits and inspections.
Evaluate- inspect and test fire protection systems and fire pumps to ensure desired functionality while ensuring compliance with all local regulations.
Perform routine scheduled preventive maintenance and repair on fire protection sprinkler systems- including but not limited to- piping- system pressures- sprinkler heads- fire pumps and booster pumps while providing necessary required legacy documentation of such.
Ensures site compliance to safety- health and environment (SHE) performance objectives.
Assist in conducting quarterly ERT Training and Fire awareness training.
Performs job assignments by Supervisor pertaining to equipment or system or documentation or housekeeping.
Assists in monitoring performance and implementing Safety- Health- and Environment (SHE) improvement initiatives (i.e.- audits- training- etc.)
Participate in SHE- Business Compliance- cGMP and all other compliance-related matters- where applicable.
Supervise and oversee Third Party Contractors- where applicable.
Ensures operational knowledge and technical skills are maintained and compliant with individual training and job requirements.
Any other tasks as and when assigned by Supervisors
Requirements
GCE ||O| Level /Diploma with 3+ years of related working experience
3-5 years technical work experience in fire protection/ detection system operation & maintenance in pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry- including:
Planning- scheduling- maintenance and equipment reliability
Strategic maintenance planning
Project management skills- including problem-solving- developing and implementing technical solutions- planning and scheduling implementations- working with multi-functional teams
Continuous improvement- Lean Six Sigma methodology and application of Lean tools
Expert knowledge of Fire Protection systems- equipment and operations
Knowledge of applicable regulations and divisional policies/guidelines- especially regulatory codes of practice pertaining to Fire Protection system
Demonstrated capability in the application of appropriate trouble-shooting and problem solving techniques
Stewardship awareness- including: SHE- cGMP and regulatory inspection preparation
Possess required knowledge- skills- ability and experience and be able to carry out the task.
Possess a valid Singapore driving license for Class 3 & 4
Good communication skills
