Dell`s CTO team hires some of the brightest and most talented engineers and
technologists in the industry and we are seeking a candidate who brings a
blend of technical depth and outside-in experience focus to define and drive
innovation into our integrated solutions.
This role will be part of the highly motivated Innovation and Emerging
Technology team who are responsible for defining the future experience-based
vision of client solutions for Dell client products. You will be responsible
for working closely with customers- technologists- strategists- external
technical partners- product marketing- procurement and experience design
engineers to define and implement solutions that enable a differentiated and
compelling set of products and peripherals which are part of Dell`s cutting
edge PC portfolio.
Develop a multi-generational experience technology strategy and innovation pipeline in partnership with a close-knit- multi-disciplinary team of Experience Designers- User Researchers- and Strategist
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to create points of view that inform strategic decisions and that are inputs into design thinking practice
Participate in concept |ideation| efforts that deliver on the experience strategy goals in an Agile environment
Define/develop proof of concept vehicles that help evaluate technical feasibility- experiential quality and business attractiveness for early stage innovation concepts using a lean startup philosophy
Identify cross-Dell Technologies solution opportunities that leverage our broad portfolio of offerings
Create technical enabler mapping to support experience strategy goals
Coordinate readiness assessment gates
Identify and engage with key enabling technology partners
Identify/mine/file relevant intellectual property disclosures
Must have the ability to comprehend a broad array of hardware and software technologies
Takes the lead in shaping future solution definition and helping realize the intended customer experience through the technology incubation process
Analyze new technologies- summarize and present to technical and non-technical audiences
Self-motivated- collaboration-minded and self-driven with minimal direction from leadership
Understand and communicate industry trends and drive experience/technology direction
Additional duties may include leading incubation teams- developing implementation guidelines- architecture definition documentation
Ownership of multiple highly complex technology development workstreams
Requirements
Requires 10+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor`s or Master`s Degree in EE or CE
Highly self-motivated with experience in technology strategy development with history of defining and implementing technology strategies that win in market
Experience sourcing ideas and championing them within the organization
Demonstrated ability for being a creative force within the organization
Strong communication skills required- including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms at the executive level
Excellent organization skills- communication & presentation skills are paramount. The individual must be capable of tailoring information for audiences ranging from industry leading technologists to company executives.
